Job Overview: A law firm in Salt Lake City, UT, is looking to hire a highly skilled Data Privacy Attorney to join their International Section. This position focuses on data privacy, artificial intelligence, and other international regulatory matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international data privacy laws, including EU GDPR, and demonstrate leadership and collaboration in a dynamic legal environment. Duties:

• Provide legal advice on international data privacy compliance, including GDPR and other global regulations.

• Develop and implement data privacy strategies and operational guidelines for clients.

• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, and paralegals, and collaborate with foreign counsel on data privacy matters.

• Assist senior attorneys in managing data privacy-related legal documents and cross-border transactions.

• Participate in additional international regulatory matters, including artificial intelligence compliance.

• Support the firm's clients by offering strategic legal counsel on privacy and regulatory issues.

• Lead projects with attention to detail and efficient multitasking across various legal matters.

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of legal practice, with a strong focus on data privacy law.

• Experience with EU GDPR or other international data privacy regulations is highly preferred.

• Exposure to regulatory, corporate, and international legal matters is beneficial.

• Strong academic credentials with a commitment to ethics and professional integrity.

• Exceptional writing, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to balance multiple projects and lead a team of legal professionals.

• High attention to detail and capacity for managing complex legal issues.

• Must be a member of the Utah Bar or willing to become licensed in Utah.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must hold an active membership with a State Bar (Utah Bar preferred).
