Mid-Level Insurance Coverage and Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Miami, FL is seeking a Mid-Level Insurance Coverage and Litigation Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will have first and/or third-party insurance coverage and litigation experience, with Florida Bar admission required.

Job Details:

• Handle a variety of insurance coverage and litigation matters, focusing on first and/or third-party claims.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis related to insurance coverage issues.
• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Assist in depositions, hearings, and trials as needed.
• Evaluate insurance policies and coverage disputes.
• Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel.
• Provide strategic legal advice and counsel on insurance-related matters.
• Manage caseload independently and efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida State Bar is required.
• 2+ years of experience in insurance coverage and litigation, preferably with a focus on first and/or third-party claims.
• Strong understanding of insurance law and litigation procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficiency in handling insurance coverage disputes and litigation matters.
• Experience drafting legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Familiarity with depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
