Job Overview

A prestigious law firm is seeking a skilled eDiscovery Attorney to join its eDiscovery and Information Management group. This role is not on the partnership track and requires knowledge of all aspects of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM). The ideal candidate must be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, working under pressure, and effectively communicating with legal teams and clients. The position is open to candidates located in states where the firm has an office. Bar admission in the practicing state is required.

Duties

  • Manage eDiscovery work on complex litigation matters

  • Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards

  • Draft and negotiate discovery-related protocols, orders, and agreements

  • Serve as the primary contact for case teams, partners, and clients regarding eDiscovery projects

  • Coordinate with case teams, clients, and vendors on the identification and collection of client data

  • Develop accurate budgets and estimates for review projects and manage invoice reviews

  • Establish and oversee document review workflows, including quality control processes

  • Supervise document productions

  • Provide training and guidance to review attorneys to enhance performance and work quality

  • Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment within the legal team

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in eDiscovery within a law firm, in-house legal team, or government setting

  • Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or LL.M. degree

  • Admission to the Bar in the jurisdiction of practice

Certifications

  • Relevant eDiscovery certifications (preferred but not required)

Skills

  • Strong research and analytical capabilities

  • Attention to detail and good business judgment

  • Ability to influence and lead teams effectively

  • Proficiency in eDiscovery platforms and workflows
