Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
A leading law firm in Las Vegas is seeking a dedicated Immigration Attorney to join their growing team. This position provides an excellent opportunity for an attorney with experience in immigration law to further develop their legal career. The successful candidate will represent clients in removal proceedings, prepare immigration applications, and work closely with a dynamic team of attorneys and legal assistants to deliver high-quality legal services.

Location:

• Las Vegas, NV

Duties:

• Explain immigration concepts and provide strategic legal solutions to clients
• Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
• Manage a caseload and ensure timely progress on cases
• Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at detention centers
• Prepare and file a variety of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions
• Review and adjust immigration applications and packets as necessary
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration law updates and changes
• Meet with potential clients for strategic consultations and determine appropriate legal strategy
• Develop strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony
• Provide legal analysis to identify potential case benefits for clients
• Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases

Requirements:

• 1 to 4 years of immigration law experience
• Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach
• Preferably bilingual in English/Spanish
• Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian Relief, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship, and USCIS applications
• Familiarity with case management software is preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
