A law firm seeks a skilled attorney to join its Real Estate practice group in Boston, MA. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse commercial leasing matters, collaborating with clients and other professionals to deliver high-quality legal services. The ideal candidate has experience in commercial leases and a keen understanding of the real estate market, with a focus on landlord representation.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate commercial leases and associated documents, such as term sheets, letters of intent, work letters, and subordination agreements (SNDAs).
  • Collaborate directly with clients, opposing counsel, brokers, and other relevant stakeholders throughout transactions.
  • Provide legal counsel on lease-related matters across various property types, including office, retail, industrial, and life sciences.
  • Conduct market research and advise clients on prevailing leasing trends and standards.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in commercial leasing, including drafting and negotiating leases and related agreements.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial leasing market and property-specific nuances.
  • Demonstrated experience working with landlords is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the bar in Massachusetts or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.
