A law firm seeks a talented associate to join its Lending team in Atlanta, Georgia. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile commercial lending transactions, including real estate, construction, corporate, and asset-based loan deals. The ideal candidate will have one to two years of experience representing both lenders and borrowers in a variety of lending transactions.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in commercial lending transactions, including real estate, construction, corporate, and asset-based loans.
  • Assist with drafting and negotiating loan documents, including credit agreements, security agreements, and related legal documents.
  • Provide legal advice to lenders and borrowers regarding loan structuring, compliance, and risk management.
  • Support senior attorneys in transaction management and client communication.
  • Conduct legal research and due diligence to ensure the accuracy and compliance of all loan-related agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet client needs and ensure seamless transaction processes.
  • Handle both simple and complex legal issues while gaining exposure to sophisticated lending matters.

Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in commercial lending law, specifically in real estate, construction, corporate, and asset-based loans.
  • Strong understanding of loan structures, security interests, and related financial instruments.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to handle complex legal matters.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar admission in Georgia (or eligibility to waive in).

Certifications:

  • N/A (Required bar admission and legal credentials are emphasized).
