Associate Attorney needed for Washington DC office

A law firm in Washington DC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Attorney with a strong background in employment defense litigation and/or traditional labor law. The ideal candidate should possess excellent academic credentials, exceptional writing and analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Clerkship experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in various legal proceedings such as hearings and trials.
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients on employment and labor law matters.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members to develop case strategies.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Washington DC Bar or eligibility for admission.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in employment or other complex litigation.
• Strong understanding of employment defense litigation and/or traditional labor law.
• Excellent academic credentials with a focus on legal writing and analysis.
