Associate Attorney with 2-10 years of experience

A law firm in San Diego, CA is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-10 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience collaborating with lawyers and paralegals, demonstrating a passion for the practice of law.

Job Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of legal issues.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
• Assist in preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, and client meetings.
• Manage and oversee paralegals and legal assistants in case preparation and file management.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.
• Participate in negotiation and settlement discussions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records.
• Handle other duties and responsibilities as assigned by senior attorneys.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of the California State Bar.
• 2-10 years of relevant experience practicing law, preferably in litigation, corporate law, or a related field.
• Proven track record of hands-on experience working directly with lawyers and legal support staff.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in legal research methods and legal software.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the California State Bar in good standing.
