A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a dedicated Immigration Attorney with a sincere interest in immigration law. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing skills, strong case management abilities, and the capacity to supervise support staff. This role involves managing a variety of immigration cases, ensuring timely and effective client representation, and contributing to the firm's supportive and dynamic work environment.

Duties:

  • Handle a diverse caseload of immigration matters, including family-based and employment-based cases.
  • Conduct thorough research and draft legal documents, including petitions, briefs, and affidavits.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to support staff, ensuring efficient case management and adherence to firm procedures.
  • Advise clients on their immigration options, including visa applications, green card processes, and deportation defense.
  • Prepare clients for interviews and hearings with immigration authorities.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, updating them on their case status and progress.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to develop and implement case strategies.
  • Stay informed of changes in immigration law and policy, and apply this knowledge to client cases.
  • Attend and represent clients at immigration court hearings and other legal proceedings as required.
  • Manage case files, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
  • Preferably 1+ years of experience in family or employment-based immigration law.
  • Strong interest in and commitment to immigration law.
  • Exceptional writing and legal research skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience supervising and managing support staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
