Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm located in Washington, DC is currently seeking a Senior Finance Associate Attorney with significant experience in borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, fast-paced private equity finance practice, specializing in complex financial transactions and working with high-profile clients in the private equity sector. Duties:

  • Advise clients on borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, and leveraged finance matters.
  • Provide counsel on complex financing transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop strategies for managing and mitigating financial risks.
  • Lead negotiations and drafting of finance-related documentation for major transactions.
  • Support clients in navigating financial structuring, debt facilities, and acquisition-related matters.
  • Coordinate with other practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
  • Mentor and supervise junior associates, providing guidance and training.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance.
  • Prior experience handling sponsor-side private equity acquisition financings is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial law, including private equity and credit markets.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple complex transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused approach.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in DC.

Skills:

  • Expertise in private equity finance and acquisition transactions.
  • Proficient in drafting and negotiating finance-related legal documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
