A well-established law firm in Wilmington, Delaware, seeks a skilled Litigation Attorney with a strong focus on insurance defense litigation. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to manage complex legal cases in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney looking to gain hands-on experience in various fields of litigation, including professional malpractice, labor, employment, and medical malpractice while working closely with clients to resolve challenging legal matters.

Duties:

• Represent clients throughout all phases of litigation, from case initiation to expert discovery.
• Participate in court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.
• Conduct thorough legal research and discovery investigations.
• Draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, affidavits, settlement agreements, and memoranda.
• Review and summarize discovery responses, and depositions, and provide litigation updates.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel.
• Communicate regularly with clients, offering legal analysis, status updates, and strategic advice.

Requirements:

• Admission to the Delaware Bar.
• Experience in medical malpractice, professional liability, and/or employment litigation is advantageous.
• Strong writing and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a fast-paced workload.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Lexis or similar legal research tools.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Delaware Bar license.
