Job Overview: A respected civil litigation law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its team in Woodland Hills, California. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of litigation experience, with a strong focus on handling written discovery, depositions, and court proceedings. Experience in insurance defense is preferred but not required. Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in court during law and motion hearings and case management hearings.

  • Draft and review discovery responses and other litigation documents.

  • Attend depositions and court proceedings to support case development.

  • Prepare motions, oppositions, replies, including demurrers, discovery motions, and summary judgment motions.

  • Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.

Requirements:

  • California Bar Admission.

  • 1-3 years of experience in civil litigation (insurance defense experience preferred).

  • Familiarity with civil proceedings, law and motion matters, depositions, and discovery.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Motivated, self-starting, and detail-oriented.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficient in drafting legal documents and motions.
