A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking a talented Energy and Infrastructure Career Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in a law firm’s energy and infrastructure practice or other relevant energy and infrastructure experience. The candidate must possess excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills, be highly motivated, and have superior academic credentials. Membership to the NY State or D.C. Bar or eligibility to waive in is required.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on energy and infrastructure matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings.
  • Advise clients on legal and regulatory issues related to energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Assist in the development and execution of project finance, development, and M&A transactions in the energy sector.
  • Represent clients in negotiations with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and other parties.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal services to clients.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a law firm’s energy and infrastructure practice or other relevant energy and infrastructure experience.
  • Proven ability to conduct legal research and analysis on energy and infrastructure matters.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills with experience in complex legal documents.
  • Outstanding academic credentials from a reputable law school.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal matters and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Admission to the NY State or D.C. Bar, or eligibility to waive in.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in New York State or Washington, DC, or eligibility to waive in.
