Job Overview: A law firm specializing in litigation seeks a Mid-level Class Action Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have extensive litigation experience, particularly in class action defense and complex commercial litigation, demonstrating strong analytical and communication skills.

Duties:

  • Communicate verbally and in writing with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables, answer calls, and respond to correspondence promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure timely completion of work products while meeting deadlines and expectations.
  • Foster positive relationships within the firm and with external stakeholders.
  • Adhere to firm policies and practices diligently.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities as required, including extensive computer work and participation in virtual meetings.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum 4 years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Experience managing a multi-matter docket, particularly in class action defense.
  • Proficiency in complex commercial litigation, securities, and consumer litigation.
  • Preferably, previous federal clerkship experience.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Sound business judgment and excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when necessary.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective research, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking abilities.
  • Capacity to influence others and deliver persuasive communications.
  • Strong project management skills, including multitasking and prioritization.
  • Active Bar Admission in the District of Columbia (DC) is required.
