Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the drafting and negotiation of definitive and ancillary documents for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Manage the entire deal process, ensuring smooth transactions and compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Oversee and coordinate with junior associates, providing guidance and supervision to ensure high-quality work.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for clients during transactions.
  • Handle the day-to-day demands of a variety of mergers and acquisitions-related matters.
  • Collaborate with other legal and business professionals within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide informed and effective legal advice.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions.
  • Proven track record of leading the drafting and negotiation of definitive and ancillary documents.
  • Experience in managing deal processes and maintaining client relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High degree of maturity and business sense.
  • Ability to effectively manage internal and external client relationships.
  • Experience in supervising junior associates and coordinating with other team members.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar membership in good standing.

Certifications

  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.
