Job Overview:

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess significant expertise in immigration law, a proven track record in managing complex cases, and a commitment to providing high-quality legal services to clients.

Duties:

  • Develop strategy and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.
  • Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage a diverse caseload of immigration cases.
  • Visit and conduct intakes with detained individuals at centers.
  • Prepare and review immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on changes in immigration law.
  • Conduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients.
  • Provide legal analysis to identify potential case benefits.
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for a range of immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Immigration Law.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • High-level interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to advance legal cases and manage a caseload.
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
  • Experience with Case Management Software is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
  • Proficiency in case management and legal software.
