A law firm located in The Woodlands, TX, is looking for an experienced Estate Planning and Probate Attorney to join its growing team. Location:

Duties:

  • Manage and oversee trust and estate planning matters, including drafting wills, trusts, and related documents.
  • Handle all aspects of probate and estate administration, including contested cases, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Provide expert legal advice to clients regarding estate planning, wealth preservation, and probate litigation.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare detailed legal documents, and represent clients in court as needed.
  • Collaborate with clients, financial advisors, and other professionals to develop tailored estate plans.
  • Engage in mediation and consults related to estate planning and probate issues.

Requirements:

  • 2-10 years of experience in estate planning and probate matters.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas for at least 2 years.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to estate planning and probate.
  • Interest in courtroom proceedings, including conducting hearings and probate litigation.
  • Interest in mediation and consultations related to estate planning.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Texas State Bar License.
  • Guardianship certification (preferred, but not required).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting correspondence, pleadings, and discovery documents.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Proficiency with TxDoc, Clio, MS Office, or Google Suite.
  • Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage complex legal cases and provide effective legal solutions.
