Associate Attorney Litigation

A law firm seeks a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. Located in Cedar Park, TX, this full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in representing local governments in Texas, primarily focusing on property tax litigation. Duties

• Draft pleadings, discovery responses, and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research to support litigation and briefing.
• Argue discovery motions and assist with other pre-trial activities.
• Participate in trials and assist in case preparation.
• Initially work alongside more experienced attorneys, with the potential to manage a personal litigation docket.
• Respond to client inquiries and provide legal guidance.

Requirements

• Litigation experience is preferred, though recent graduates with a strong interest in litigation are encouraged to apply.
• Texas Bar license (or pending) is required.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Texas (up to 25% of the time).
• Strong legal writing and research skills.
• Self-motivated and driven to handle a variety of litigation matters.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
• Strong commitment to ethical legal practices and professional development.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school (Required).

Certifications

• Active Texas State Bar license (preferred, or in the process of sitting for the Texas Bar).
