Duties:

  • Client Intake & Consultation:
    • Establish trust with clients, listening to their concerns and documenting key facts related to their case.
    • Outline clear action steps for both the client and the firm to ensure an effective strategy.
  • Case Investigation:
    • Lead investigations to build strong, trial-ready cases.
    • Assess insurance coverage and gather relevant evidence to support client claims.
  • Negotiation:
    • Prepare cases for trial while evaluating Full Settlement Value.
    • Maintain ongoing relationships with insurance adjusters and negotiate strategically to maximize settlement outcomes.
    • File lawsuits when necessary and guide clients through the litigation process.
  • Litigation & Trial Preparation:
    • Prepare legal pleadings and discovery for lawsuits.
    • Develop and execute effective strategies for trial, mediation, or arbitration.
  • General Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure cases progress efficiently.
    • Review and approve correspondence drafted by support staff to ensure accuracy and clarity.
    • Attend team huddles, meetings, and hearings as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases at various stages of litigation.
  • A passion for client advocacy and commitment to achieving optimal outcomes for those who have been injured.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the state of North Carolina.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong litigation and trial preparation skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on securing favorable outcomes.
