Job Overview: A law firm in San Diego, CA, seeks a dedicated Employment Single Action Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in employment litigation matters, developing legal strategies, and effectively resolving cases through mediation, negotiation, and litigation.

Job Duties:

  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents related to employment litigation.
  • Develop and execute effective legal strategies to achieve favorable client outcomes in single-action employment cases.
  • Conduct depositions, meet-and-confer sessions, ADR mediations, and negotiations on behalf of clients.
  • Represent clients in hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings related to employment matters.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on employment law issues.

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience specializing in employment litigation.
  • Superior analytical and legal research skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically when handling legal issues.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including time management and prioritization.
  • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
