Duties:

  • Collaborate with legal staff on case strategy and execution.
  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in various stages of the immigration process.
  • Prepare legal filings, petitions, and court documents.
  • Represent clients in hearings and interviews before immigration courts and government agencies.
  • Stay current with changes in immigration laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, offering regular updates on their cases.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to a State Bar (Virginia preferred but not required).

Skills:

  • Experience with immigration law, preferably including both family-based and business immigration cases.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
