Job Overview

A prestigious law firm is seeking a mid to senior-level associate with 3+ years of experience to join its Employment Group. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cross-border and global employment matters. This position will involve advising clients on employment aspects of corporate transactions, drafting employment-related agreements, and providing guidance on employee mobility, terminations, and reductions in force. The ideal candidate will have international counseling experience and a strong academic background from a recognized law school. The role requires flexibility, a willingness to learn, and the ability to collaborate with teams across multiple offices.

Duties

  • Conduct employment diligence and advise on employment matters related to corporate transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and other related agreements.
  • Advise clients on reductions in force, employee terminations, and workforce restructuring.
  • Provide guidance on restrictive covenants and employee mobility issues.
  • Advise emerging companies on various aspects of employment law.
  • Collaborate with various offices in the firm's global employment practice.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in employment counseling (domestic and/or international).
  • Experience at an AmLaw 100 law firm is preferred.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a nationally recognized law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction of application.
