Litigation / Labor & Employment Attorney

The ideal candidate will have three or more years of experience practicing civil litigation in California courts, with added exposure to financial services litigation, creditors’ rights, and employment law being highly desirable. Location

Duties

• Handle civil litigation matters in California state and federal courts

• Manage labor and employment disputes, including claims involving discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour issues, and employee agreements

• Contribute to litigation involving financial services and creditors’ rights (preferred)

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, discovery, and other litigation documents

• Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials

• Collaborate with partners and clients to develop legal strategies

• Maintain case files and track deadlines in a high-paced environment

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation within California

• Background in labor and employment law required; experience in financial services litigation and creditors’ rights preferred

• Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school

• Demonstrated ability to handle sophisticated litigation matters independently or with minimal supervision

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of California
