A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Associate Attorney for its Austin, TX office. This role is suited for an attorney with 5+ years of litigation experience and a strong background in multiple legal disciplines. The position offers the opportunity to work across various practice areas, including property owners association law, insurance defense, real estate and business litigation, construction law, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, collections, bankruptcy, and drafting/revising contractual and corporate documents. This is an excellent role for a senior attorney looking to expand their expertise in a collaborative, professional environment.

Duties

  • Manage and litigate cases in property owners association law, insurance defense, real estate disputes, and business litigation.
  • Oversee complex construction law matters, including construction defect litigation, offering strategic advice and representation.
  • Provide corporate general counsel services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for business clients.
  • Draft, review, and revise contractual agreements, corporate governance documents, and real estate-related legal documents.
  • Lead collections and bankruptcy matters, representing clients in negotiations, court appearances, and other legal proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and represent clients in mediations, depositions, and court hearings.
  • Collaborate with the legal team on case strategy and legal planning, ensuring a thorough and client-focused approach.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in litigation, with exposure to multiple legal practice areas.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and litigation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex cases and provide sound legal advice across various practice areas.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in the state of Texas.
