Job Overview:
A law firm in Gainesville, FL is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to manage a diverse range of cases and advocate for individuals who have been injured due to negligence. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic legal team focused on securing justice for clients, from case inception to resolution.

Duties:

• Oversee personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, truck accidents, slips and falls, dog bites, and wrongful death claims.
• Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence, collaborating with expert witnesses as necessary.
• Prepare and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, and briefs.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to achieve favorable client outcomes.
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings.
• Provide timely and accurate legal advice and case updates to clients.
• Manage and supervise paralegals, law clerks, and other support staff.
• Participate in client intakes or case sign-ups as needed.
• Attend site inspections or vehicle inspections as required.
• Stay informed on updates and changes to personal injury law and legal trends.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the State Bar and valid license to practice law.
• At least 5 years of experience in personal injury law, demonstrating a proven track record in case management.
• Jury trial experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage a high caseload while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Dedication to client advocacy and securing just outcomes for clients.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active State Bar membership and license to practice law.
