Job Overview
A prominent law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Philadelphia office. The firm is committed to providing modern, efficient, and effective legal representation, with a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion. This position involves working on high-volume cases within the areas of General Liability Defense and Product Liability Defense. The ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, and able to handle a wide range of legal responsibilities while collaborating with clients, insurers, and colleagues.

Duties

  • Prepare legal files for defense from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct depositions and extensive client and insurer communications.
  • Draft and argue motions in court.
  • Appear in court and prepare for trial as required.
  • Develop defense strategies tailored to each case.
  • Maintain detailed reporting and communication with clients and insurers.

Requirements

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars (New York and/or Florida Bar admission is a plus).
  • 0 to 3 years of experience, preferably in defense litigation (asbestos litigation experience is a plus).
  • Strong research, analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
  • Admission to New York and/or Florida Bars is advantageous.
