Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement legal strategies to effectively resolve personal injury cases.

• Communicate regularly with clients to understand their legal concerns and provide sound legal advice.

• Review discovery documents and decide on the most efficient course of action for each case.

• Take, review, and manage depositions, witness testimonies, and expert testimonies.

• Prepare and file all necessary documentation for cases.

• Maintain a caseload of approximately 150 cases, ensuring timely progression toward settlement or trial.

• Collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants to prepare comprehensive case briefs.

• Regularly attend hearings, court appearances, and conferences as required by the case.

• Supervise and mentor a team of two paralegals.

• Ensure high levels of confidentiality and adhere to legal ethical standards.

• Be willing to travel to court as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury law.

• Must be licensed to practice law in New Jersey (NJ Bar).

• Proven experience with trials and settlements, particularly in personal injury cases.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and case management systems like Smart Advocate.

• Ability to handle a diverse and high-volume caseload effectively.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• High level of integrity and confidentiality.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

• Must be able to lift to 20-25 lbs and sit for extended periods (7-8 hours).

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining quality control.

• Willingness to travel for court appearances.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• New Jersey Bar Admission (Required).
