The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a substantial caseload, handling confidential information with professionalism, and demonstrating strong writing skills. This role requires an independent and highly organized individual with 1-4 years of experience in commercial litigation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and prioritize a large caseload of commercial litigation matters.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive legal memoranda.
  • Represent clients in court, including handling depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and provide updates.
  • Prepare for and participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.
  • Ensure all case-related tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in all aspects of case preparation and management.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in commercial litigation.
  • Proven ability to manage a substantial caseload independently.
  • Strong writing skills and experience drafting legal documents.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity in handling confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Louisiana State Bar.
