Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a skilled and driven Litigation Associate to join its dynamic legal team in Coral Gables, FL. This full-time position offers a hybrid work environment with a focus on maritime personal injury and hotel tort litigation. The successful candidate will handle a range of responsibilities, primarily in federal court, and will have opportunities for professional growth and development.

Duties:

• Represent clients in maritime personal injury and hotel tort cases, with an emphasis on federal court practice.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Attend and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in cases.
• Develop and implement defense strategies based on case specifics and legal precedents.

Requirements:

• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage cases efficiently and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent oral advocacy and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality legal work.
• A self-motivated and proactive approach to case management.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar (or eligibility to become admitted).

Skills:

• Strong legal writing and drafting skills.
• Proficiency in conducting legal research and analysis.
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
• Ability to represent clients in court and at depositions.
• Knowledge of maritime law and tort law is preferred, but not required.
