Job OverviewA law firm seeks an employment litigation attorney to handle a dynamic caseload involving wage disputes, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and restrictive covenant matters. This role includes significant client interaction, legal research, drafting, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a collaborative, small-office environment.DutiesConduct legal research and draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.Provide legal counsel on employment law matters, including compliance and dispute resolution.Prepare cases for trial and participate in courtroom proceedings.Manage caseload efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met.Utilize legal research platforms and technology to support case strategy.RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of employment litigation experience.Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research software (Westlaw, Lexis).Familiarity with cloud-based case management and virtual communication tools (Zoom, Adobe, Slack/Teams).Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.EducationJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.CertificationsActive membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.SkillsLitigation strategy and trial preparation.Legal writing and research.Negotiation and mediation techniques.Client advocacy and case management.Proficiency with legal technology and digital tools.BenefitsHealth insurance coverage.Paid time off (PTO).The professional work environment in a modern Coral Gables office with covered parking.Opportunity to work with a well-established employment law firm with a strong reputation.
