A law firm in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law, with significant experience in managing complex litigation cases. This role requires an attorney who excels in client relations, courtroom representation, and case management, and who is adept at negotiating settlements and advocating fiercely on behalf of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients to discuss their cases, offer legal advice, and manage case expectations.
  • Perform motion work, including drafting, filing, and arguing motions as needed.
  • Oversee the discovery process, including gathering evidence, preparing documentation, and conducting thorough analysis.
  • Conduct and defend depositions, ensuring all aspects of case preparation are addressed.
  • Participate in mediations to negotiate settlements and resolve disputes effectively.
  • Represent clients in court, preparing and presenting cases to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies customized for each case.
  • Maintain organized and accurate case files and documentation.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA).
  • State Bar certification in Texas.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury law (10+ years preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated exceptional client interface skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of aggression on behalf of clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proven negotiation and trial skills.
