A law firm in New Orleans, LA, is seeking a talented Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience in litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and research skills, along with excellent academic credentials (top 25% required).

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, pleadings, and motions.
  • Assist with all phases of the litigation process, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Analyze and summarize legal documents and case materials.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and development.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.

 

Requirements:

  • Excellent academic credentials, with a GPA ranking in the top 25%.
  • 3-6 years of litigation experience.
  • Strong writing and research skills.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Louisiana, or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of Louisiana, or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.

 

Skills:
