This role involves handling a variety of civil litigation cases, including bodily injury defense, construction, and other insurance-related matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of success in managing cases from inception through trial, demonstrating both autonomy and collaboration in their approach. Duties:

• Manage and handle civil litigation cases, focusing on insurance defense, bodily injury, and construction matters
• Represent clients through all stages of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial proceedings
• Take depositions, prepare and argue motions, and attend hearings
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and developments
• Collaborate with internal legal teams and support staff to meet client needs and deadlines

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, with a preference for bodily injury defense experience
• Proficiency in handling civil cases through trial
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex litigation independently
• Must be licensed to practice law in Texas (additional licensure in other states is a plus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (Required)

Certifications:

• Texas Bar in Good Standing (Required)
