Senior Attorney with 8+ years of experience

A law firm seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Attorney to join its Omaha, NE office. The ideal candidate will bring over 8 years of experience in commercial litigation, labor and employment, business transactions, or financial services law. This role offers the opportunity to leverage an established practice and work with a diverse clientele while driving complex legal strategies and solutions. The Senior Attorney will be responsible for providing expert legal counsel, managing significant cases, and contributing to the growth of the firm.

Duties

• Provide expert legal representation in commercial litigation, labor and employment, business transactions, and financial services matters.
• Work directly with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored legal strategies.
• Manage and oversee the handling of legal cases from start to finish, ensuring optimal outcomes.
• Lead complex legal negotiations and drafting of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients, providing clear legal guidance and solutions.
• Monitor and analyze legal trends, regulatory changes, and case law to advise clients proactively.
• Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
• Minimum of 8 years of legal experience, particularly in commercial litigation, labor and employment, business transactions, or financial services.
• Admission to the Nebraska State Bar (Iowa Bar admission is a plus).
• Proven ability to manage complex cases independently and effectively.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent judgment and ability to handle sensitive client matters with discretion.
• Ability to work under pressure while handling multiple priorities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications
