Associate Attorney needed for Edwardsville office

A law firm in Edwardsville, IL is seeking an Associate Attorney to represent individuals who have suffered injuries from dangerous products and devices. The role involves providing legal advice, conducting discovery, appearing in court, and engaging in extensive legal research and writing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate competency in legal procedures and processes, be proficient with relevant software, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. The position requires licensure to practice law in any state, with a preference for Illinois or Missouri.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients who have suffered injuries from dangerous products and devices.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients throughout the litigation process.
• Conduct extensive legal research and writing, including preparing pleadings and memoranda.
• Manage all phases of case discovery, including filing, motion practice, and case management.
• Assist in the preparation and review of discovery materials.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and defense counsel.
• Appear in court for hearings, motions, and trials as required.
• Demonstrate self-motivation and organization in managing caseloads and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in any state; Illinois or Missouri licensure is preferred.
• 2-10 years of attorney experience, with a focus on personal injury preferred.
• Proven competency in legal procedures, case discovery, and motion practice.
