Job Overview:
An established multi-state law firm specializing in real estate and creditors' rights law is seeking an Associate Attorney to support its Missouri practice. The ideal candidate will handle a caseload focused on creditor's rights, bankruptcy, and related litigation matters, contributing to the growth and success of the practice.

Location:

  • Phoenix, AZ

Duties:

  • Manage a significant caseload within creditors' rights and real estate law.
  • Handle discovery practice, depositions, and conflict resolution.
  • Represent clients in court and attend necessary hearings.
  • Provide appellate support and guidance.
  • Proactively develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and industry professionals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality legal representation.
  • Assist in growing the firm’s presence in the industry.

Requirements:

  • Must be a member in good standing of the Missouri State Bar.
  • Licensed (or able to obtain a license) to practice in the Missouri federal district and bankruptcy courts.
  • Newly licensed attorneys are encouraged to apply; 5+ years of litigation experience preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to handle a high volume of cases in creditors' rights.
  • Familiarity with discovery practice, depositions, and conflict resolution.
  • Appellate experience and knowledge of TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills and a focus on team collaboration and mentoring.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to proactively develop and maintain relationships in the industry.
  • Willingness to travel as required for court appearances.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Missouri State Bar is required.
  • Additional Bar licenses are a plus.
