A law firm seeks an accomplished associate attorney with a strong foundation in Workers' Compensation law. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity for an attorney eager to take on leadership responsibilities, manage a caseload, and contribute to the growth of the firm. After a comprehensive onboarding period, you will play a critical role in defending clients in Missouri Workers' Compensation cases, overseeing your own staff, and leading complex cases independently.

Duties:

  • Lead defense for clients in Missouri Workers' Compensation matters.
  • Handle a range of tasks including taking depositions, managing your caseload, and independently conducting trials and appeals.
  • Develop a deep understanding of legal developments and apply this knowledge in casework.
  • Draft and contribute to informative research articles for client newsletters.
  • Present educational content to clients on relevant legal issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the firm’s growth and success.
  • Manage and mentor support staff and paralegals.
  • Actively participate in firm-wide initiatives to improve client service and legal practice efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing complex Workers' Compensation cases.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a commitment to team collaboration.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive arguments and maintain strong client relationships.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage large volumes of work effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Missouri.

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in Missouri.
