A law firm in Minneapolis is seeking a Junior-Mid Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney with strong writing skills, interpersonal skills, and an outstanding academic record. The ideal candidate will have focused experience in a national trademark practice and substantial litigation experience in intellectual property matters.

 

Duties:

  • Handle all facets of domestic and international trademark counseling.
  • Assist in trademark litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on trademark, copyright, patent, and trade secrets matters.
  • Collaborate with partners and clients to develop case strategies.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
  • Provide support on other IP litigation matters as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of focused experience in a national trademark practice.
  • Significant experience in trademark counseling and litigation.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Copyright litigation, Patent litigation, Trademark litigation, Trade secrets litigation.
  • Exceptional writing skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding academic record.
  • Admission to the Minnesota Bar, or eligibility for admission as soon as practicable.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Minnesota Bar, or eligibility for admission.

 

Skills:

  • Strong writing skills for drafting pleadings, motions, and court filings.
  • Interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Legal research and analysis skills.
  • Litigation experience in intellectual property matters.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
