Job Overview:

A prominent law firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join its dynamic Litigation group in the Dallas office. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a nationally recognized practice group, offering competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package. The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex litigation matters, including motions, discovery, and trial preparation.

Location:

  • Dallas, TX

Duties:

  • Analyze, research, and draft briefs addressing sophisticated legal issues in complex litigation.

  • Handle motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, class certification motions, writs, and appeals in state and federal court.

  • Assist with trial preparation and participate in court appearances.

  • Manage cases, including coordinating with clients, handling discovery, and preparing for depositions.

  • Argue motions and take/defend depositions.

  • Provide strategic and analytical input throughout the litigation process.

  • Participate in community and professional organizations for ongoing professional development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 to 4 years of litigation experience.

  • Strong academic background, particularly in legal research, writing, and analysis.

  • Proven experience in trial preparation and court appearances.

  • Experience in drafting and arguing motions, including motions to dismiss, summary judgment, and class certification.

  • Experience in case management, including handling discovery and depositions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

  • High degree of maturity, a willingness to learn, and the ability to take on significant responsibilities.

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Admission to the Texas Bar.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the Texas Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.

  • Experience with case management and handling complex litigation matters.

  • Strategic and analytical thinking abilities.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to argue motions and take/defend depositions effectively.
