Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Tampa, FL is seeking a motivated Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Workers' Compensation defense and a strong work ethic, capable of handling cases independently. Preference will be given to candidates with virtual work experience or schooling.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide legal representation for clients in Workers' Compensation defense matters.
• Conduct legal research, prepare legal documents, and attend hearings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
• Analyze medical records and other evidence to develop case strategies.
• Manage caseload autonomously while meeting deadlines and client expectations.
• Participate in negotiations and mediations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida Bar and member in good standing.
• Ideally, 1+ years of experience in Workers' Compensation defense.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in virtual work environments is preferred.
