Litigation Attorney for Tustin Office

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a skilled Litigation Attorney to join its team in Tustin, CA. This position offers the opportunity to manage and contribute to complex litigation cases in the areas of probate, family law, and civil litigation. The ideal candidate will have experience with trial work, motion practice, and client management, with a collaborative mindset to work alongside a dedicated team of legal professionals.

Duties:

• Manage litigation cases from initial preparation through to trial, working alongside senior attorneys
• Draft and file a variety of litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, demands, and memorandums
• Attend and represent clients in litigation-related events such as depositions, conferences, and court hearings
• Guide clients through the case process, offering clear communication and support from start to finish
• Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and share knowledge for case development

Requirements:

• 2-5+ years of experience in probate, family law, or civil litigation, with a focus on motion work and discovery
• Proven experience with court hearings and trial preparation
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and MacOS
• A working knowledge of Clio and Lawyaw is preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients, with a positive and approachable demeanor

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar

Skills:

• Strong drafting, research, and legal writing abilities
• Excellent communication and client-relations skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
• Highly organized, with attention to detail in case management and document preparation
• Adaptability to new legal technologies and systems
