A law firm seeks a Real Estate Associate Attorney for their Washington, DC, office.

Job Overview:

The Real Estate Associate Attorney will handle various commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and sales, development, leasing, title, land use, rights of way, construction contracts, and loan documents. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience in a top-tier law firm and excellent academic credentials. Strong written and oral communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents related to commercial real estate transactions.
  • Assist with due diligence investigations.
  • Review and negotiate contracts, leases, and other agreements.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in transactions.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on real estate matters.
  • Assist with closings and post-closing matters.

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Experience with acquisitions and sales, development, leasing, title, land use, rights of way, construction contracts, and loan documents.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent academic record.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in the jurisdiction of practice.
