Duties:

• Provide legal counsel to clients, offering guidance on their rights and creating legal documents related to their cases.
• Attend pretrial hearings and advise clients on the best strategies following each session.
• Represent clients during court appearances, including trials, and handle legal procedures such as drafting motions and interviewing witnesses.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and assess potential outcomes using knowledge of legal precedents.
• Maintain an organized caseload, ensuring that all deadlines and responsibilities are met.
• Analyze cases for strategic advantages and recommend actions for clients to benefit from their legal position.
• Gather additional evidence to strengthen clients’ cases and challenge prosecution charges.
• Prepare clients for depositions, collaborate with witnesses and experts, and ensure that all critical case information is collected.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in criminal defense.
• Proven ability to handle complex criminal cases at local, state, and federal levels.
• Strong teamwork skills with a collaborative attitude toward colleagues and legal assistants.
• The ability to speak both English and Spanish is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in California.
