Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in overcoming financial hardship by crafting legal strategies tailored to their unique circumstances.

  • Handle all aspects of financial reorganization cases, from initial intake to case closure, including courtroom appearances and creditor communications.

  • Represent clients before courts, trustees, and other administrative forums, advocating assertively for optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year and up to six years of legal experience focused on insolvency or financial hardship representation.

  • Confident in managing a full caseload independently, with a strong grasp of procedural rules governing financial restructuring.

  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of Michigan.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines and client needs.

  • Experience with electronic filing systems and debtor financial disclosures is highly preferred.

Education & Certifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Active Michigan Bar membership required.
