Duties:

  • Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations

  • Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed

  • Prepare discovery responses and manage document production

  • Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events

  • Provide thorough reports of all events and hearings

  • Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary

  • Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of practice experience in litigation

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and independently

  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar (required)

Skills:
