Job Overview:

Location:

  • New York City, NY

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate commercial leases, primarily for retail and office spaces.
  • Advise clients on lease transactions and provide strategic legal counsel.
  • Work on commercial landlord-tenant litigation, construction disputes, and lease-related bankruptcy issues.
  • Manage multiple leasing projects simultaneously while maintaining high client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other team members across practice areas.
  • Maintain responsiveness to clients’ needs and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial leasing, with a focus on retail and office leases.
  • Industrial leasing experience is a plus.
  • Strong academic credentials and demonstrated success in a well-known real estate law firm.
  • Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong client-service orientation with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent time-management and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Must be admitted to the New York Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York Bar.

Skills:

  • Commercial lease drafting and negotiation.
  • Expertise in retail and office leasing transactions.
  • Knowledge of commercial landlord-tenant law, construction litigation, and lease-related bankruptcy matters.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to handle high volumes of work and meet strict deadlines.
