Employment Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a skilled Employment Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience in employment litigation, including experience with arbitration, trials, and handling a large caseload. The role requires an active CA Bar license, strong negotiating skills, and the ability to manage cases independently with a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in employment litigation matters, including arbitration and trial proceedings.
• Conduct and manage discovery, including depositions and motion practice.
• Handle a substantial caseload efficiently and independently.
• Negotiate settlements effectively during mediation and with opposing counsel.
• Draft, file, and argue motions; prepare legal briefs and other documentation.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Uphold high standards of professionalism and work ethic in all aspects of case management.
• Continuously develop and apply strong academic and practical legal knowledge.

Requirements:

• Active California Bar license.
• 1+ years of experience in employment litigation.
• Experience with arbitration, trial proceedings, discovery, law and motion, and depositions.
• Proven ability to manage a large caseload independently.
• Effective negotiation skills in mediation and interactions with defense counsel.
• Strong work ethic, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
• Excellent academic credentials.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
