First-Party Property Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced associate attorney with 2-5 years of experience in first-party property law to join its team in Saint Petersburg, FL. This hybrid position offers the opportunity for remote work while maintaining close collaboration with the firm's team. The ideal candidate will have experience in independently managing cases, including depositions, discovery, pleadings, and attending mediation and court hearings. Duties:

• Independently manage first-party property insurance cases from inception to resolution.
• Take and defend depositions, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Participate in mediations and court hearings, representing clients effectively.
• Handle case management conferences and maintain regular communication with clients and key stakeholders.
• Develop and implement case strategies, ensuring efficient management of deadlines.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case progression and strategy.
• Stay informed about industry developments and apply them to case management.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in first-party property insurance law.
• Experience in handling depositions, drafting legal documents, and managing complex cases.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple cases efficiently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on legal writing and client interactions.
• Proven track record of attending and participating in mediations and court hearings.
• Well-organized and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to work remotely while maintaining strong communication with team members and clients.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar is required.
