Duties:

  • Independently manage first-party property insurance cases from inception to resolution.
  • Take and defend depositions, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Participate in mediations and court hearings, representing clients effectively.
  • Handle case management conferences and maintain regular communication with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement case strategies, ensuring efficient management of deadlines.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case progression and strategy.
  • Stay informed about industry developments and apply them to case management.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in first-party property insurance law.
  • Experience in handling depositions, drafting legal documents, and managing complex cases.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple cases efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on legal writing and client interactions.
  • Proven track record of attending and participating in mediations and court hearings.
  • Well-organized and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to work remotely while maintaining strong communication with team members and clients.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Florida Bar is required.

  • Strong knowledge of first-party property insurance law and litigation procedures.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Excellent case management, research, and organizational skills.
