Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Junior Commercial Attorney to join its team in the Tampa Bay area. This role involves representing businesses in both litigation and transactional matters. Duties

  • Conduct legal research and draft contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.

  • Manage case strategy, court appearances, and negotiations.

  • Collaborate with board-certified attorneys, paralegals, and professionals holding advanced legal credentials.

  • Stay updated on evolving commercial laws and regulations impacting clients.

  • Participate in firm-wide legal initiatives and contribute to client development efforts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a commercial attorney representing businesses.

  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, and research abilities.

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining high-quality work.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Prior experience billing clients is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

  • Top 20% of graduating class preferred.
