Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced and driven Litigation Attorney to join its team in California. This position will primarily focus on real estate, civil litigation, and creditors' rights matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil procedure, motions practice, and loss mitigation, with a commitment to providing exceptional client support. Duties:

  • Manage litigation matters, including real estate and creditors' rights cases, from inception to resolution.

  • Prepare and file motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.

  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and trial proceedings, as needed.

  • Actively engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution.

  • Utilize case management software to monitor case progress and deadlines.

  • Perform legal research and provide strategic advice to clients.

  • Maintain strong communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

  • Manage legal documents and files in a timely and organized manner.

  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing of the California State Bar.

  • 5+ years of experience in real estate, civil litigation, and/or creditors’ rights practice.

  • Strong understanding of civil procedure and motions practice.

  • Experience with foreclosure, eviction, and loss mitigation.

  • Ability to manage a large caseload and meet deadlines efficiently.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

  • Willingness to travel for court appearances, as necessary.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active California State Bar License (required).

  • Additional Bar licenses are a plus.
